If you want to experience first-hand what it feels like to study at the HNEE and what it is like to live as a student in Eberswalde, you should not miss the HNEE University Information Day. This is an opportunity for prospective students to talk directly to students and lecturers at the university and get first-hand answers to their questions.
After the welcome at 9:45 a.m. in the large lecture hall of the Wilhelm-Pfeil-Auditorium by the university president Prof. Dr. Matthias Barth, the degree programmes will present themselves from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at various stands as well as in lectures in the lecture halls. In addition to the Bachelor's and Master's programmes, working professionals who would like to obtain a part-time qualification will receive extensive information on the continuing education Master's programmes "Strategic Sustainability Management" and "Education - Sustainability - Transformation". The programme also includes guided tours: HNEE students will lead tours of the university's city campus for about 30 minutes from 10:15 am and 3:30 pm, and a guided tour of the Forest Botanical Garden will be offered from 3:30 pm. Walking taxis will accompany anyone who is interested to the locations.
The General Student Advisory Service will also be there, as will student university groups and the Studierendenwerk Frankfurt/Oder with tips on housing and financing. And those who would like to get to know Eberswalde in all its diversity can also take part in a free guided tour of the city with Brigitte Schröder from 4 to 5 p.m.
From 6 p.m., the AStA (General Students' Committee) of the HNEE invites you to the campus festival with live music on the open-air stage and indoor dance floors on the city campus.
Admission is free, registration is not required.
Programme for the university information day
Good to know: At the landing page hit.hnee.de all prospective students can obtain comprehensive information about the study programmes at the HNEE, even if you cannot be there on 3 June. Via a live chat, questions can be asked directly to the study counselling after the respective study programme presentations and HNEE students will give online tours of the campus.
Via the homepage of the university website interested parties will be able to access the beta version of the new website directly via a web banner from 3 June onwards. At the moment, the new website will focus on the presentation of the HNEE homepage and study programmes. The website relaunch project is the responsibility of University Communications, which in the past months, with the support of external expertise, has analysed the existing pages, carried out target group analyses, designed a new layout and held talks with numerous university members to find out requirements and implementation possibilities. The plan is to complete the project by autumn 2023: "However, a website is never really finished, because requirements are constantly changing and developments are very rapid, especially in the digital sector," emphasises project manager Sophie Bayerlein, who has been intensively supervising the implementation of the project together with an agency since the beginning of this year.
