Individual study contents
The Bachelor's degree programme in Forestry (B.Sc.) lasts 6 semesters, is completed with 180 ETCS and qualifies for a profession. The average attendance time (semester hours) during the 5 semesters of study is around 22 semester hours in the compulsory area. A further 5 semester hours are required on average for the compulsory elective modules. The Forestry degree programme (B. Sc.) is characterised by a high level of practical relevance.
Modules per semester
In the first semester, you will learn about the ecological, scientific and socio-scientific basics of forestry.
The second semester expands your knowledge of ecological-scientific as well as social-scientific basics of forestry.
In the third semester, we teach application-oriented with a focus on silviculture, forest growth science, forest health, work and process technology, wood use and business management.
Throughout the fourth semester we expand your application-related knowledge with a focus on silviculture, forest growth science, forest health, work and process technology, wood use and corporate management.
In the fifth semester you can complete the practical semester at home or abroad.
In the sixth semester you will learn about farm management and farm management strategies in the form of interdisciplinary project work and also write your Bachelor's thesis.
