Regional movement is a practice partner in the Sustainable Economy department

This winter semester, the Bundesverband der Regionalbewegung e.V. (BRB) is supporting the marketing project seminar in the Business Management (B.A.) degree programme at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) for the first time as a practical and specialist partner.

A total of 56 students specialising in marketing are currently working in 14 teams on practice-oriented projects for the sustainable marketing of regional foods. In terms of content, the seminar focuses primarily on the topic of "regional brands". In addition to developing concepts for the "Day of the Regions" and pilot projects on the topic of "Canteen seeks region" in Brandenburg, the seminar will also analyse the success factors of regional seals and search for suitable collaborations in the area of influencer marketing for regional products and initiatives. The results will be presented and discussed by the students in January in the presence of the respective project managers from the federal association.

In October, some students, together with Professor Dr Gerd Peters, head of the marketing seminar at HNEE, and well over 200 stakeholders from nationwide regional initiatives, politics, business and science, took the opportunity to gain an insight into the numerous current projects and examples of the regional approach at the 10th Federal Meeting of the Regional Movement in Brandenburg's Havelland region. Around 60 speakers discussed the potential and challenges of regionalisation in the food industry at this networking event.
