New series of events: "Transferkaffee - the InNoWest online talk on digitalisation and sustainability"
The digitalisation team of the joint project InNoWest is launching a monthly series of events from 23 September 2024. Practitioners from municipal facilities, civil society and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are invited to find out more about topics relating to sustainability and digitalisation - online and in 45-minute sessions. Other interested parties are also very welcome.
The InNoWest network was launched in 2023 with the vision of bringing science and practice closer together in the municipalities of North and West Brandenburg and jointly implementing projects in areas such as sustainability and digitalisation. Information on previous results of the collaboration with various project partners can be viewed here.
The aim of the transfer coffee is to give other stakeholders from the region the opportunity to find out about topics relating to sustainability and digitalisation easily and quickly. As part of the monthly exchange, speakers will always give a short, approximately 20-minute input at the beginning. The second half of the event is available for questions, suggestions and open dialogue.
The transfer coffee will start with speakers from the digitalisation team: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Schafföner from the Faculty of Computer Science and Media at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences has been secured for the first event on 23 September 2024. He will provide input on the topic of "The Metaverse: Vision, technology, benefits and security" .
On 18 October 2024, Prof. Dr Jens Müller from the Department of Environmental Big Data Analytics at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development will speak on the topic of "Off-the-shelf AI models" and on 19 November 2024, Prof. Dr Tobias Schröder from the Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences at Potsdam University of Applied Sciences will talk about "Digital tools for sustainability management".
Please register in good time for the respective events.
