HNEE honoured as "Brandenburg Think Tank 2024" for the 2nd time

The Berlin-Brandenburg Business Plan Competition (Businessplan-Wettbewerb Berlin-Brandenburg, BPW), which promotes innovative start-ups with sustainable ideas, has honoured the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) for its successful start-up support.

On Friday, 12 July 2024, the big BPW award ceremony took place in the atrium of Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB). Berlin and Brandenburg's top 10 start-ups, numerous partners and networkers were in attendance. The HNEE Start-up Centre was represented by Julien Mai and Aimée Dost. Kerstin Lehmann, Head of InnoSupport Research | Foundation | Transfer, accepted the award.

For the second time since 2019, HNEE has been honoured with the "Ideenschmiede" university award from BPW Berlin-Brandenburg as the most start-up-active university in the state of Brandenburg. This award honours those universities that impress both quantitatively and qualitatively with the business plans they submit.

Students from the Master's degree programme "Sustainable Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation", among others, showed great commitment with great support from Prof. Dr Britta Gossel.

The BPW is Germany's largest regional start-up initiative since 1995 and supports founders in three stages on their journey from idea to concept. The competition is organised by the Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB), the Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB) and the Vereinigung der Unternehmensverbände in Berlin und Brandenburg (UVB).
